Cancer trial headlines: check the endpoint and the setting
The October 26 briefing reviews three oncology trial reports from October 25. Each finding applies to a specific treatment setting and level of evidence.
Three things to know
The briefing describes the China-based HARMONi-GI1 trial comparing ivonescimab plus chemotherapy with durvalumab plus chemotherapy in advanced biliary tract cancer. Reported survival results do not establish approval of the regimen or access for international patients.
For CLARITY-Gastric01, the briefing reports a survival finding for sonesitatug vedotin in previously treated CLDN18.2-positive gastric and related cancers. The other co-primary progression-free survival endpoint was not met; one result does not mean success on every endpoint.
OptiTROP-Lung06 reported progression-free survival results for sac-TMT plus pembrolizumab in PD-L1-negative advanced non-squamous NSCLC. Overall-survival results were still immature. Eligibility and regulatory status remain specific to the trial and indication.
This is a dated video briefing. Reports and availability may have changed since it was recorded; confirm current details before making plans.
